We Recommend Oral Measurement:
The mouth (oral cavity) is considered to be a reliable representation for body temperature when the thermometer is placed far back under the tongue. (Shut Your Mouth for a While before Place the Thermometer under the Tongue).
【Normal value and measurement method of body temperature】
Generally, the oral temperature range of adults in the quiet morning is 36.3-37.2 ℃. Undream temperature is 0.2-0.5 ℃ lower than oral temperature, rectal temperature (anus temperature) is 0.2-0.6 ℃ higher than oral temperature
1. Oral measurement method: disinfect the temperature-sensing body with a medical cotton swab or toilet paper dipped in alcohol. Close the lips for about 1 minute before the measurement with an electronic thermometer to stabilize the oral temperature. Turn on the electronic thermometer switch and place it under the inner root of the tongue. Close your lips and leave it for 1 minute to take the reading. The normal value is 36.3-37.2 ℃.
2. Underarm measurement method: It is a commonly used method for measuring body temperature. Dry the sweat of the armpit, turn on the electronic thermometer switch, place the thermometer probe on the center or top of the armpit, ensure your arm sags naturally, and the armpit is tightly closed for 1 minute. The normal underarm temperature is 36-37 °C.
3. Anus measurement method: It is mostly used in children or comatose patients. The patient should lie on the back. After lubricating with petroleum jelly or oil, slowly insert the probe into the anus and place it for one minute then read. The normal anus temperature is 36.5-37.7 ℃.
【Fever Standard】
1. Low fever: 37.3-38 ℃
2. Moderate fever: 38.1-39 ℃
3. High fever: 39.1-41 ℃
4. Ultra-high fever:above 41.1 ℃
